The official site says it is open every day 12:00–23:00, Mondays too, and 13:00 can be seated. Xiaohongshu (RedNote) says it gets crowded at mealtimes and recommends booking ahead; Monday lunch may not be full, and if you can't book you can also just go. If you can't book and can't get a table: Mama Goulash in Pest (no booking, about €10 per person, route in "Transport" on the 10-26 day page), or Buja Disznók next to Gravity.

On 10-25 you said we are not going (decision D-54); if you already booked by phone earlier, remember to call and cancel. The official site gives opening hours 12–15 and 17–22 every day (Monday included), so 17:45 can be seated. Eat until about 19:00, then walk across the Chain Bridge to Gravity after the meal (51′ walk, about 1 h, which helps digestion). Fallbacks: Gettó Gulyás (Wesselényi u. 18, 12–23 every day) or Mama Goulash, both within a 3–8 minute walk, just go on the spot. Call during the restaurant's opening hours (12–15 or after 17:00).

Changed 10-29 10:24: after missing the planned 541, we are no longer going to Hallstatt (D-61), so no booking is needed. Before that (D-60): Hallstatt in the evening became optional (second plan, decided only at Gosaumühle at 17:17); if you want to go, call to book before leaving, and if unsure don't book and just go to Bräugasthof when you arrive. The opening hours page says 11:30–14:30 and 18:00–21:30; the tourist board listing says hot food until 20:30, open on Thursday. Hallstatt has few dinner options: Muk's closes at 17:00, and Zum Bader is closed Wednesday and Thursday. Fallback: Bräugasthof Hallstatt (phone, the page also says to reserve; closed Wednesday, open Thursday). When 10-28 and 10-29 are swapped so Hallstatt falls on Wednesday, Bräugasthof is closed, leaving only Seewirt.
